About Gabby
I am an artist and writer, living in Greyton, South Africa. My work, inspired by nature, colour and pattern, seeks to bridge the worlds of beauty and healing. Through intuitive art-making, I explore the sacred geometries hidden in the natural world — from the spiralling heart of a shell to the rhythmic repeat of petals in bloom.
With over fifteen years as a Visual Art educator at the Frank Joubert Art Centre, I bring warmth and deep experience to every creative encounter. My teaching centres on process over product — guiding others to discover their own creative voice through intuitive mark-making, colour exploration, and meditative art practices.
My personal practice is as diverse as the landscapes that inspire it. From intricate hand-drawn mandalas in ink and fineliner, to vibrant mixed-media collages, hand-painted ceramics, and my celebrated colour weaving work — each piece carries a reverence for the natural world and a deep belief in creativity as a path to wholeness.
Whether I’m painting the spiralling geometry of a mandala, layering colour in a botanical collage, or guiding a workshop participant through their first intuitive brushstrokes, my work is always an invitation — to slow down, to look closer, and to find beauty in the sacred patterns of life.
